Default Will accumulated Gold from GW1 xfer to GW2

I dont know if this has been answered anywhere so if it has, im sorry. Does anyone know if the gold you've accumulated in GW1 will be transferable to GW2 when it is released? I've been hearing mixed rumors and was wondering if anyone had a solid answer?

You can't expect a solid answer yet since the game will be out late 2008 or early 2009.

We're all just gonna have to wait.

the official answer is no.

that goes for rare materials/rare items/etc.

as they stated we will not allow the transfer of wealth in any form so everybody starts even.

also stated anything the HOM unlocks will not give a player an advantage.

which is only good business as a bunch of GW1 elitests setting them selves up with GW1 wealth would cut GW2 sales as players do not enjoy starting the game as a second class citizen.

Yea, I'm really hoping that anything given from GW1 (Lets say you had a Destroyer Sword) is given too you... pre-customized and a green. This way, on day 1 we wont have "Selling: PErfect Destroyer Sword 100k+4000e". I think the best way to deal with titles, would somply be a badge, or bracelet on your armor that says, "Noxify, was feared by many in ancient Elonian history for his legendary title of Holy Lightbringer"

Nothing will transfer. At all. It's a new game.

But there will be HoM for vanity and stuff, but nothing of value.

As the other posters have said NO you wont be able to transfer gold ect
I been playing for 2 years and would be nice to take what I have accumulated to GW2
BUT It's a new game new characters ect ect ect
We all NEED to start fresh and all on a lvl playing field IMO
Thats how I hope it stays and just have HoM to show off your
stuff to your "Descendants"

Figure in 250 years of inflation, and several rounds or redenomination by the Central Bank of Xunlai, and you'll be lucky to have 1 GW2 gold for every 100k GW1 gold.

Lol. Good point.

But yeah, no. There won't be. Its like saying your X-Box live rating from Halo 2 should transfer to Halo 3. New game, new engine, new design means you start over again.

I think the best thing to do with your GW1 money when going to GW2 is purchasing items that will display in Hall of Monuments. Things like elite armors, displayable equipment and minipets.

Well i hope not, that you can transfer money -_-'

So the money selling company will get alot of benefits from it, they can continue to farm on GuildWars1 and then transfer it to GuildWars2 and then sell the money ...

And i want a new fresh start on guildwars 2

The only thing that will definitely, positively transfer from GW1 to GW2 is the whining. Lots and lots of it too!
